A New Chapter for Darren Kennedy Photography: Hello, Galway!
It has been a little while since I last updated this blog, but I have a very good excuse: I’ve been busy packing boxes and planning a massive new chapter.
I am incredibly excited to make it official—Darren Kennedy Photography is officially moving its headquarters to Galway!
Thank You, County Offaly
Before I talk about where I am going, I need to talk about where I have been. To County Offaly: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Offaly is where my roots are, where I have lived for so many years, and where this business truly grew.
Thank you for an incredible ten years of supporting my photography. Having my HQ in my home county has been a privilege, and the community's backing over the last decade means everything to me. I will always carry that support with me.
The Galway Adventure Begins
So, why the move? Well, they say the girls are better across the border... or maybe just one Galway girl in particular caught my eye!
Jokes aside, I have always had a massive soft spot for this place. In my eyes, it is hands-down the nicest city in Ireland, and I am absolutely thrilled to finally call it home.
This new adventure and journey is already proving to be incredibly exciting. When I don't have a camera in my hand, you'll find me out supporting local businesses. I’m a big foodie and really enjoy a nice cup of coffee, so I am having a great time soaking up all the unbelievable cafes and energy this city has to offer. I am really looking forward to spending the coming years here, growing the business, and capturing new stories in the west of Ireland.
What’s Next?
As much as I am loving my new Galway base, the adventures might not stop here. Let's say that a move abroad is also very much in the pipeline for the future.
Colorado… watch this space. 👀🇺🇸
Maybe Denver. Maybe Colorado Springs. Maybe somewhere completely unexpected…
Big announcements are coming.
After ten years of Darren Kennedy Photography, the next chapter could be the biggest yet.
The best is yet to come.
